To Keep or Not to Keep: Part 2

Anyone remember this dilemma of weather or not to keep the tree we affectionately refer to as 3O or 3PO? Well for now, two years later, we’ve chosen to keep. We spoke to 3 arborists, and ended going with an arborist who seemed the most knowledgable. We’ve been fertilizing 3PO at the base of the tree for the past 6 months. Several branches were removed from the tree, and it is overall less stressed.  We’re going to try to give this beautiful White Oak all it needs so it can be enjoyed for at least our lifetime. I see it as an exercise in humility choosing to protect and care for a tree that has stood for centuries.
